Jory, there was a program on tv here recently called The Nest which followed a few families around as they tried to get a better work-life balance happening. The parents were all really busy and one woman used to check her blackberry when she'd get up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. She eventually learned that this really wasn't that productive and her world didn't cave in if she didn't check her emails all the time.

It sounds to me like you need to learn how to turn off and tune into life outside of your busy work life. When's your next holiday?

Hmm, I don't think this will happen when we're all in Short Hills for Xmas honey...somehow with the kids, all of us, baking cookies, and the whole ambiance of Xmas...I think it transports you to another place long enough to keep your mind away from business for a while; and if we see you drifting, we'll work on it. Love, Mom ~xo
